GENOA JUNCTION
VOLTRI – BRIGNOLE INFRASTRUCTURE DEVELOPMENTDescription of the work
The project contributes to the overall reorganization of the Genoa Junction, which aims to strengthen the regional and metropolitan transport services, in particular along the coastline and in the Polcevera Valley. With the new set of lines studied and the separation of metropolitan and interurban rail traffic it was foreseen to increase the frequency of the service. _on freight: Strengthening of the freight service aimed in particular at international connections, intermodality and support of maritime traffic heading toward the central Po Valley areas and the Alpine passes.The contract provides for Environmental Management Assistance System – Environmental Protection Plan – Initial Environmental Analysis – Acoustic Pollution (dispensations–monitoring) – Vibrations – Tunnel Monitoring – Laboratory Analysis (waters, land, waste) – Land Management Plan – Environmental and Management of Relations with Control Boards Support – Internal Audits.
Articulation of activities
ambiente s.c. was involved by the design company FER.GEN. to manage the design and execution of this complex infrastructure contract.
An operating unit was immediately set up on site in order to identify and communicate any problems, develop a study of the site layout, collect back-up information for the environmental study and conclude the Initial Environmental Analysis;
ambiente s.c. successfully work with the commissioner and the general contractor during the technical meetings with the control boards. The approach to this large contract consisted in the integrated monitoring of various environmental elements (noise, vibrations, waste and excavated material management) by experienced professional staff.
